Sunglasses are not just an accessory but rather a piece of equipment means to safeguard your eyes, and skin around it from harmful UV rays emitting from the sun. The area around the eyes is called the eye socket or eye orbit. The skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate than the skin on other parts of your body. And because your eyes work a lot throughout the day, from blinking to expressing your emotions, this alone can cause premature aging.

Now, you can't stop blinking or opening your eyes, as it an unconscious process, what you can do apart from using eye serum is wearing sunglasses. There are 4 types of lenses to choose from while getting your next sunglass:
Polarized Lenses: These reduce glare reflected off surfaces, making images appear sharper and clearer. Most polarized lenses provide UV protection, which is important to maintaining healthy eyesight.
Photochromic Lenses: These automatically darken when exposed to sunlight, eliminating the need for separate sunglasses in many cases.
Blue Lens: These are considered a next-generation lens coating that combats digital eye strain by reducing your exposure to blue light from smartphones, tablets, computer screens, televisions, energy-efficient lighting, and the sun.
Anti-reflective Lenses: These can reduce eyestrain caused by glare, reflections, and the "halos" you see around lights at night. It helps protect your lenses from scratches and smudges and can repel dust and water. This coating makes your vision sharper and your eyes appear clearer behind your lenses.
While choosing the right frame is as important as choosing the right frame about which we went all in detail about in our previous post. While Sunglasses even thou are in the market since 1929 when they were produced by Sam Foster in Atlantic City. They became hugely popular because of movies especially the Western style, and Tom Cruise starter Top Gun.
But, people still till the date mess up 6 basic rules which make them look not cool.
1. Make sure glasses fit your temple width

Temple length is the measurement in millimeters of the “arms” of the frame. This measurement does not vary as much as the others. 135mm, 140mm, 145mm, and 150mm are the most common options. The temple should fit horizontally and evenly along your face and fit comfortably along the outside of your ear.
2. Only wear sunglasses outdoors

Never ever wear sunglasses indoors. They're not meant to be worn indoors, as the name indicates, they're used in sun. Wearing them inside makes you look like an asshole. Don't be that guy. If you want, wear clear glass with Blue Light Coating while using electronic items like smartphones, and laptops.
3. When you're serious, take off your glasses

This is a common gesture in movies, taking your glasses off while being serious. Especially, in several movies, a protagonist takes his glasses before going in for a fight or maybe an antagonist taking off the glasses to reveal his face. The best example could be, SRK in the movie Happy New Year during the fight against Korean dancer.
4. Make sure that the tips/legs of the sunglasses wrap around your ear

Temple Tips slide onto the arms of your glasses or sunglasses and hook around your ears to keep them in place. They are made of a soft silicone material that will fit most frames and offers a comfortable fit. Temple Tips can easily be put on and taken off of glasses.
5. Price isn't everything

You don't need to shell out your hard-earned money on expensive brands Ray-Ban, Gucci, Persol, Carrera. Again, they're equipment made for everyday usage, not something to show off in a party of the red carpet, instead go for more affordable yet quality brands like Jade Black which will cost around $50 + Taxes (28% VAT in for India + Duty Charges calculated during checkout) and you can always go for John Jacobs or Vincent Chase from Lenskart as well.
6. Never wear frames on your head

Your head immaculate a lot of grime, dust, oil, bacteria because of sweat and pollution which will stick on your sunglasses, which will be then transferred on to your face welcoming acne break out, and other skin problems. Easy solution, don't stick them on your head, instead, use your pocket.
Sunglasses is a piece of equipment, and accessory which everyone needs, and by following these basic rules, you'll take your style quotient from a mediocre 5 to an instant 10.
