Fashion is an industry dominated by trends and classics. While some of the trends are as Spanish says "Estúpido" and some as Italian says "Bellissimo". In this article, we will talk about the "Estúpido" of fashion. To understand fashion, we have to understand the fashion cycle.

How fashion changes are usually described as a fashion cycle. It is difficult to categorize or theorize about fashion without oversimplifying. Even so, the fashion cycle is usually depicted as a bell-shaped curve encompassing five stages: introduction, rise in popularity, the peak of popularity, the decline in popularity, and rejection. The cycle can reflect the acceptance of a single style from one designer or a general style such as the miniskirt. The chart below explains that fashion cycle in easy terms:

These are 7 fashion trends are those which should be kicked completely of this spectrum:

1. Don't wear square-toed shoes

Square Toed shoes make your feet look like Platypus feet, they're not at made to the shape of your feet. Ditch them, and even ditch the pointy shaped toes and opt for almond shape which is much more natural and comfortable.

2. Don't buy 'dirty sneakers'

Why would anyone in his right mind spend close to $1000-$1500 on dirty sneakers from Jimmy Choo or Gucci which looks like you stole from a homeless guy? You want that aesthetic, buy a cheap and classic Nike AF1 or Adidas Stan Smith or Reebok Classic, wear them down for 6-8 months without washing them as much, and you'll have that look in 1/10th of the price.

3. Don't wear long shorts. They should not pass your knee

Shorts are made to end above the knees. We have boxers or swimming shorts which end right around where your buttock ends, shorts are made to fit you where 1 inch above your knee area. In both of them, they need to be above your knee exposing your quadriceps muscles. If you've chicken legs, then go to the gym and build them up because they look attractive. Anything below the knee or what is called Capri is made for jungle expedition, old people in the suburbs, and archaeological experts.

4. Don't wear cycling glasses

Those oversized Oakley cycling glasses look like you're wearing a windshield on your face. They don't just look out of proportions but moreover, they make your face shape and proportions out of measurements. In short, they just look awkward.

5. Don't wear neon clothing

Neon colors don't sit well with anything but rather make you look stand out not in a good way, more like a walking traffic signal sign on a road. Especially the Red or Yellow makes you look like you're a civilian police worker or a fireman volunteer.

6. Don't wear bare chest suits

A trend made famous by celebrities like Kayne West and Donald Glover which for them it suits them as an artist, but an as normal guy wearing it to a club or a party or worse a date is a huge mistake. While wearing that in an artistic sense for say photoshoot or maybe a themed party or to show your abs is one thing but suits are made for a sophisticated look and elegance which bare chest makes it worse.

7. You should not wear a full outfit of oversized clothes

Oversized aesthetics popularised by Japanese and Korean culture has been one of the trendiest for the last couple of seasons with Billie Ellish being the biggest fan of it. But, which is a huge but, don't wear a full oversize outfit. You need to balance it out. if you've got an oversize hoodie, pair it with a tailored or fitting lower and vice versa.
